Applying Content Design Principles to Interface Copy

Good microcopy does more than fill space—it guides users, reduces friction, and reinforces brand personality at critical moments in the experience.

For a UX writing course, I analyzed existing brands and crafted microcopy for common touchpoints, explaining how the strategic content decisions shaped the user interactions. I used either a screenshot (with locally modified HTML code) or a Figma mockup to visualize how the copy could appear in the interface.

Each example demonstrates how I apply core UX writing principles—Necessary, Clear, Concise, Useful, Conversational, and Branded—to balance user needs with brand voice.
